Page 724 PROCLAMATION NO . 107 / 1998 A PROCLAMATION TO RATIFY THE ETHIO - ITALIAN AGREEMENT ON CULTURAL COOPERATION WHEREAS , the Agreement on Cutlural Cooperation betweeen the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia and the Republic of Italy was signed in Rome on the 8th day of April , 1997 ; : WHEREAS , it is stipulated in the Agreement that the Agreement shall come into force sixty days from the exchange , in Addis Ababa , of instruments of ratification effected in compliance with the respective constitutional formalities of the Contracting Parties ; WHEREAS , the House of Peoples ' Representatives of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia has ratified said Agreement at it session held on the 5th day of March , 1998 ; NOW , THEREFORE , in accordance with Article 55 sub Articles ( 1 ) and ( 12 ) of the Constitution , it is hereby proclaimed as follows : 1 . Short Title This Proclamation may be cited as the " Ethio - Italian Cultural Cooperation Agreement Ratification Proclamation No . 1071 2 . Ratification of the Agreement The Agreement on Cultural Cooperation between the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia and the Republic of Italy signed in Rome on the 8th day of April , 1997 is hereby ratified . www . Power of Concerned Federal Organs The Ministry of Education , the Ministry of Information and Culture , the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs , the Sports Commission and other federal organs concerned with the fields of cooperation included in the Agreement are hereby empowered to implement the Agreement with regard to their respective fields of activity . Effective Date This Proclamation shall enter into force as of the 5th day of March , 1998 . Done at Addis Ababa , this 5th day of March , 1998 .
