OF THE FEDERAL DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC OF ETHIOPIA 7th Year No. 6 ADDIS ABABA- 30th November , 2000 CONTENTS Proclamation No. 224/2000 International Development Association Credit Agreement for Financing Multisectoral HIV / AIDS Projects Ratification Proclamation Page 1435 PROCLAMATION NO . 224/2000 A PROCLAMATION TO RATIFY THE DEVELOPMENT CREDIT AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE FEDERAL DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC OF ETHIOPIA AND THE INTERNATIONAL DEVELOPMENT ASSOCIATION WHEREAS , a Development Credit Agreement , between the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia and the Inter national Development Association stipulating that the Inter national Development Association provide to the Federal De mocratic Republic of Ethiopia a Credit amount of SDR 45,200,000 ( forty five million two hundred thousand Special Drawing Rights ) for financing the Multisectoral HIV / AIDS Project , was signed in Washington D.C. on the 12 " day of October , 2000 ; WHEREAS , basic economic international agreements have to be ratified prior to entry into force ; WHEREAS , the House of Peoples ' Representatives of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia has ratified said Agreement at its session held on the 30th day of November , 2000 ; NOW , THEREFORE , in accordance with Article 55 Sub Articles ( 1 ) and ( 12 ) of the Constitution , it is hereby proclaimed as follows : Short Title This Proclamation may be cited as the “ International Development Association Credit Agreement for Financing Multisectoral HIV / AIDS Projects Ratification Proclamation No. 224/2000 3 . Unit Price The African Law Archive Definition In this Proclamation “ Credit Agreement ” means the Credit Agreement No. 3416 - ET signed in Washington D.C. on the 12th day of October , 2000 between the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia and the International Development Association . Power of the Minister of Finance The Minister of Finance is hereby empowered to under take all acts necessary for the utilization of the Credit amount of SDR 45,200,000 ( forty five million two hundred thousand Special Drawing Rights ) in accordance with the terms and conditions set forth in the Credit Agreement . Effective Date This Proclamation shall enter into force as of the 30th day of November , 2000 . Done at Addis Ababa , this 30th day of November , 2000 .
