A PROCLAMATION TO RATIFY THE LOAN AGREE ENT BETWEEN THE GOVERNMENT OF THE FEDERAL DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC OF ETHIOPIA AND THE AFRICAN DEVELOPMENT FUND WHEREAS , a Lon Agreement , between the Government of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia and the African Development fund stipulating that the African Development Fund provide to the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia a loan ' in an amount not exceeding ዲሞክራሲያዊ | 20,880,000_UA ( twenty_million_eight hundred eighty መካከል thousand Units of Account ) for financing the Ethio - Djibouti Power Interconnection Project was signed in Addis Ababa on the 16th day of May 2005 ; WHEREAS , the House of Peoples ' Representatives of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia has the gth day of June , 2006 ; NOW , THEREFORE , in accordance with Article 55 Sub - Article ( 1 ) and ( 12 ) of the Constitution it is hereby proclaimed as follows : 1. Short Title This Proclamation may be cited as “ The African Development fund Loan Agreement for the Ethio Djibouti Power . Interconnection Project Ratification Proclamation No.498 / 2006 . ” Unit Price The African Law Archive 29 June , 2006 Ratification of the Agreement The Loan Agreement No. 2100150008944 signed on the 16th day of May 2005 between the Government of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia and the African Development Fund is hereby ratified . Development The Minister of Finance and Economic Development is hereby empowered to undertake all acts necessary for the utilization of the Loan amount of 20,880,000 UA ( Twenty million eight hundred eighty thousand Units of Account ) in accordance with the terms and conditions set forth in the Loan Agreement .
