A PROCLAMATION TO RATIFY THE AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE GOVERNMENT OF THE FEDERAL DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC OF ETHIOPIA AND THE GOVERNMENT OF THE STATE OF ISRAEL FOR THE AVOIDANCE OF DOUBLE TAXATION AND THE PREVENTION OF FISCAL EVASION WITH RESPECT TO TAXES ON INCOME WHEREAS , a Convention for the Avoidance of Double Taxation and Prevention of Fiscal Evasion with Democratic Republic of Ethiopia and the Government of the State of Israel in Jerusalem on 2nd June , 2004 ; WHEREAS , the House of Peoples ' Representatives of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia on its ratified the convention ; NOW , THEREFORE , in accordance with Article 55 Sub - Articles ( 1 ) and ( 12 ) of the Constitution it is hereby proclaimed as follows : 1. Short Title This Proclamation may be cited as the “ Convention between the Government of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia and the State of Israel for the Avoidance of Double Taxation and Prevention of Fiscal Evasion with Respect to Taxes on Income Ratification Proclamation No. 505/2006 . ” Unit Price The African Law Archive * 2. Ratification of the Convention The Convention between the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia and the State of Israel for the Avoidance of Double Taxation and Prevention of Fiscal Evasion with Respect to Taxes on Income signed in Jerusalem on 2nd June , 2004 is ratified . 3. Power of the Minister of Finance and Economic Development Minister Finance Economic Development is hereby empowered to implement the Convention in cooperation with the concerned Government organs .
