Page 667 PROCLAMATION NO . 95 / 1998 A PROCLAMATION TO RATIFY THE CONVENTION BETWEEN THE FEDERAL DEMOCRTIC REPUBLIC OF ETHIOPIA AND THE GOVERNMENT OF THE ITALIAN REPUBLIC FOR THE AVOIDANCE OF DOUBLE TAXATION WITH RESPECT TO TAXES ON INCOME AND THE PREVENTION OF FISCAL EVASION WHEREAS , a Convention for the Avoidance of Double Taxation with Respect to Taxes on Income and the Prevention of Fiscal Evasion was signed between the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia and the Government of the Italian Republic in Rome on the gth day of April , 1997 ; WHEREAS , the House of Peoples ' Representatives of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia has ratified said convention at its session held on the 3rd day of February , 1998 ; NOW , THEREFORE , in accordance with Article 55 Sub Articles ( 1 ) and ( 12 ) of the Constitution , it is hereby proclaimed as follows : Unit Price2 : 30 www . Ratification of the Convention The Convention between the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia and the Government of the Italian Republic for the avoidance of Double Taxation with Respect to taxes on Income and the Prevention of Fiscal Evasion signed in Rome on the 8th day of April , 1997 is ratified . 3 . Power of the Minister of Finance The Minister of Finance is hereby empowered to implement the Convention in cooperation with the concerned govern mental organs . Effective Date This Proclamation shall enter into force as of the 3rd day of February , 1998 . Done at Addis Ababa , this 3rd day of February , 1998 .
